Streetworks is a Multi media Art exhibition that began on the streets of Yokohama,
Japan where Shaun Gladwell and Craig Walsh produced work that presented everyday life as exceptional and at times even strange.
From a series of video work honouring urban street culture to videoing extreme sportrs (skateboarding, BMX, breack dancing, hip hop and graffiti), Gladwell uses these moving images, slows them down and presents them to a soundtrack that offers an almost spiritual experiance to the viewer.
Walsh connects the gallery space to the outside urban environment, capturing images that are projected onto another larger surface inside an actual werehouse exposing the process of private voyeurism trhough a public display.
